The Tomahawk Area Tomahawk has a population of 3,770 as compared to a county population of 28,975.  Sure-Wood Forest Campground is approximately 4 miles east of Tomahawk.  Tomahawk offers many excellent restaurants, a mini-golf course, movie theater, bowling alley, two public golf courses (Edgewater, Inshalla), a water ski show on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings, two public swimming pools, a paintball field, a flea market every Thursday during the summer and also bingo Wednesday nights at Sara Park.
